The Rugged Maniac Run was held at the motor cross track in Lakewood, Colorado. Seriously, this was the hardest thing ever. I underestimated how "in-shape" I needed to be! 25 obstacles.. with a ton of steep hills to run up. Eek. From climbing up rope walls, wooden walls, army crawling under barb wired fences, water blocks, rings over water, some more walls except with trampolines included, going under ground (talk about claustrophobic), jumping over deep ditches, and a few more that I can't remember. It was sort of like boot camp..but the crazy thing is we plan to do it next year! I'm so glad I got to do this with one of my best friends. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Baylee & me on our way to the race!
Driving on the interstate to get to the parking, we had to park at the Bandimere Speedway, 5 miles down.
Almost to the end! After this obstacle was the half pipe & slide!
Baylee falling in the water with me in the background. I fell in as well!
WE DID IT! (after the slide)
Time to rinse off! (but we have to get a picture of us muddy;)) Oh & we forgot towels.
What a month July has been for me! Finally, I am home this weekend but then off to Casper to visit some family next weekend. All I can say is I'm so thankful for these experiences & this life I have. ❤︎
